Donna Womack Eberhart

It has been my goal to capture renderings of some of the landmarks of the South that are vanishing at an alarming rate. Family home places, Rock City Barns, old General stores and Mills that were so common in my childhood are falling into disrepair or being bulldozed tomake way for modern structures, subdivisons or malls. I hope that my artwork will bring to mind a fond memory from your past...Perhaps a trip to the store with Grandpa to get bubble gum cigars for you and a tin of snuff for him, with a wink, "Don't tell your Grandma, you hear?", or driving through north Georgia on the way to the mountains in the fall of the year, watching for the changing leaves and the wonderful red and black Rock City Barns. I do so love the South.

Donna resides in Hiram, Georgia with her husband, Steven K. Eberhart. Born and raised in the metro-Atlanta area, she is the daughter of the late Virgil and Florence Owen Womack, both of Paulding County. Donna graduated from North Cobb High School in 1974, attended Wesleyan College in Macon under a partial scholarship, Valdosta State in Valdosta, GA and Kennesaw College in Kennesaw, GA majoring in Fine Art. Donna studied watercolor, mixed media and drawing with graphite, ink and charcoal with Guy Leese of Marietta, GA and oil painting with Faye McLain of Dallas, GA.
You can buy prints of her artwork at the Historic Courthouse Gift Shop.
