Joyce was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but moved to Georgia when she was twelve years old. Influenced by her father’s avid interest in history and her love of art, she began to paint scenes of vanishing landmarks around her. Her realistic scenes in oil show detail and authenticity of subjects which induce memories of long past. The joy people find in her nostalgic paintings also brings happiness to her. Her art can be found in collections nationally and internationally.
She has won numerous awards over the years including many Blue Ribbons.
Art continues to be a very important part of her life and she is
always on the lookout for inspiration for her next painting. |
